Errant Lawbreakers

I caught two lawbreakers recently, ignoring No Entry signs and entering without permission when I was in Penang.



Tsk tsk... Such blatant disregard for the rules.

Actually, just kidding, they are my friends and we were visiting Penang. I had lovely Penang laksa too...



Thats all. I am still waiting for my uni application to get through as always. It seems to be so far away but in reality just 3 weeks more. I must start preparing myself for uni, and some of my friends already started their tertiary education.

I have Photic Sneeze Response!!

Have you ever sneezed unstoppably when transitioning between dark and light in an instant? If you have, you probably have what is called ACHOO syndrome, or Autosomal dominant Compelling Helio-Ophthalmic Outburst Syndrome.

In addition to the 'many' ailments I have (genetic or otherwise) I have ACHOO too. But it doesn't really affect me seriously, it is more like a sensitivity to light. The only ways it probably could affect me is when I am driving... Maybe I'll be driving sometime, and suddenly look into the sun, and sneeze, and get into an accident.... BAMM!!

No, no, I am not morbid, I am actually taking all this in good humour. I think its funny. People can say they are allergic to so many things, but I am 'allergic' to light! Hahaha!


Anyways, being 'diagnosed' with ACHOO is a way to stop my mother from nagging me when I sneeze uncontrollably. And I sneeze really loud. Ask any of my classmates!

Uni application results will be out in about a month. Only less than a month till my fate is known. I just hope its not anywhere really bright.

my new vaio

PC fair was last weekend, and I thought, what better time than this to buy the laptop that i am going to take to uni? So I scouted a little, spent countless nights poring through laptop reviews and what not, in search for a laptop that suits my needs and will serve me well in the long run. In the end, there were two final contenders: the toshiba M200 and the sony Vaio CR35. After careful deliberation, I decided to purchase a sony Vaio.



Which brings me to a new dilemma. The vaio CR series comes in six colours: Indigo Blue, Premium Gold, Luxury Pink, Blazing Red, Pure White, and Matte Black. I fell in love instantly with the colours offered, which is more of a curse than a blessing. The two colours i loved the most were Indigo Blue and Blazing Red.

The Indigo Blue has a nice sophisticated blue finishing and a silver interior. The Blazing Red has an attractive head-turning red finishing with a black interior. I finally decided to go with Blazing Red even though I think more people would expect me to get the Indigo Blue model.

Is this the longest hour of my life?

I just participated in Earth Hour 2008, and there was nothing else to do that didn't require electricity, so I messed around with my camera and made a short video...





I am happy that I did participate, even though it was boring and stuff, so please don't take this video the wrong way.

Nothing much to update...

...except I've finally begun cleaning my room, which was more akin to a battlefield or something. I dare not even sing loudly in there in case I accidentally cause a landslide or avalanche. Seriously.

Now the whole place looks better, I've thrown out tons of stuff, and rearranged the whole configuration. I even mopped the place....

Thats all for now, I'll upload a picture (maybe) when I am finally done, right now there are still a few details i need to sort out, like where to put the mislocated stuff.

Finally, I'm in..

For those of you who read my previous entries, you probably know I was rejected by Maybank in my current account application. I really wanted to get into that "club", you know, because Maybank2u is really useful and everything, especially for online shopping. So I went to Maybank again today, setting my sights a little lower, to try and get a new savings account.

I got it immediately. Well, not immediately, there was a wait and stuff, but at least I didn't get rejected or anything this time around. And to top it all, I got a nice new Visa card instead of the usual black-and-yellow ATM maybankard. It looks like this:

So yeah, I'm really excited about my new card and all, its so cool and everything, and I can finally flash my card when shopping and stuff...

Another thing is, I just lost 4 kgs without going to the gym. I won't tell you why until I am sure its healthy.

And today is the last day of Uni applications. I have used up all my chances to kemaskini. So now I can only hope for the best (English language and Literature in USM).

I bought myself another Shell-Ferrari car. The limited edition Black 599 GTB Fiorano is now mine!!! It sold out pretty quickly because it is the only black model. 2 down, 4 to go...

Oh, and I also watched Horton hears a who with Ryck. It was a very funny yet thought provoking movie. It reminded me a lot about the Christ-story, with Easter just yesterday. Christ who was so big still bothered to save tiny specks like us...

One last thing. I started looking at cameras today in hopes of finding the right point-and-shoot. But its not likely that I can buy it soon, so I will start making videos once the zit on my nose subsides.
